With the soul gem in hand I set out with confidence
to obtain the gem of power. It was in the possession of a
buffoon known as the Champion. The Champion is a behemoth
with an insignificant portion of his body mass allotted to
his brain. Our battle was one of brain versus brawn. Being
endowed with an ample supply of each, I almost felt guilty
in manipulating Champion into losing the infinity gem.
Almost.
After toying with him for a few minutes, I activated my
craft's defense shield. After bashing his fists into it,
he made the predictable move and leapt into the
stratosphere to descend on the shield with all his force.
Of course by the time he came down, I teleported far enough
away not to get caught up in the chain reaction that caused
the planet to explode. I then convinced him to barter the
gem for a lift to another planet. I left him plummeting
towards its surface at an obnoxious speed and set off for
number three.
The Gardener was my least favorite opponent because
he was a gentle being who only sought the splender of
his botanic creations. He had used the time gem to freeze
each plants growth at its apex of bloom. However, my goals
must override all others. I manipulated his attempt to
"grow" on me and sent the vines through his body. Oh,
well. I was halfway there.
