Torchlight

Anyone here play / tried out Torchlight?

What is it? Its a highly addictive Diablo clone made by some of the creators of Diablo and Fate, now called Runic games. There are three classes, the Destroyer - a melee based fighter, Vanquisher - sharpshooter / trapper
and the Alchemist - who uses the power of a magical stone called Ember. Each class has a pet; cat or dog - who can be fed spells to learn. My Destroyer has a dog that casts fireball and summons zombies.

The world is very diablo-esque mixed with steampunk and a hint of WoW. Evil has overrun a city built on an Ember mine. There's many quests for you to undertake, including some from a robot bard who wishes to sing the songs of a hero.

There's loot, with scrolls of identify and town portal. Even the music sounds straight out of the Diablo world at times.

Torchlight is a very fun game that I highly recommend. Its very computer friendly, and even has a netbook mode (which I haven't ventured a try yet). There's a demo available, and the full version is $20 on Steam.

I no longer need Diablo 3.
