The Tech-Spazz (Played by - Russ) Read Twitch's Online Journal. Marvin "Twitch" Caldwell was the child of parents of below-average intelligence. Twitch, however, was very intelligent. Too smart for his own good, actually. He taught himself to read at three, and built his first engine at six. Because of his incredible mind, he was permitted to skip first and second grades, and dumped promptly into third. He could read, he could do multiplication, in short, he was smarter than your average third-grader. Unfortunately, he missed two critical years of getting to know the other kids and develop some manner of social skills. Couple that with his growing thirst for coffee and mastery of the art of dodgeball, and you get his sneering nickname, "Twitch." By seventh grade, Twitch had found a way around the whole "that kid's a psycho" reputation he had developed: Quake. Twitch dove into the game with gusto, quickly mastering the art of the stalk and kill. When Quake II was released, Twitch quickly racked up massive frag totals. It was his life calling. His inventiveness to a backseat to killing things. Later still, Twitch would also find "survival horror" at roughly the same time he enters college at the age of sixteen. A year after attending college, Twitch begins to notice strange things. People going missing, the trees on campus dying, packs of black clad, consciously cool folks roaming at the wee hours. Twitch, still technically a minor, would sneak out of his parents house and watch from a distance, observing them through his binoculars. Then, some gear in his head started to turn, and that horrible social awkwardness permitted his imagination to surge into overdrive. In his mind, he put two and two together and came up with nine. Packs of guys that only come out after dark, nasty critters with a fondness for dark corners, a world in chaos...it could only be the work of a zombie master, or a voodoo priest, or some other lord of the undead! While Twitch has a nasty habit of jumping from one thing to another in relatively short amounts of time. However, something about this grabbed his imagination and would not let go. So he prepared. He tried to get his girly arms in shape, practiced hunting zombies using Half-Life and Quake 3, pestered the police, and generally focused on only two things: maintaining a 3.5 gpa to keep his Yeager Scholarship, and preparing to hunt and kill the undead when the time came. And come it did! After purchasing a crossbow and a sufficient number of bolts, he set out at night to hunt the zombies that he was certain infested the city streets of Huntington. He had just enough of the picture to make him dangerous, but not enough so that he knew what he was up against. On his second night of hunting, (the first night was a bust) he got picked up by the cops. They confiscated his crossbow and had him institutionalized, believing (rightly) that he might be dangerous.Forty days later, Twitch was released by the hospital with a prescription for Ritalin. School was beginning in two weeks, and the doctors hoped that his ADHD could be treated and he would be rid of this fixation on zombies and the undead. They're wrong. For some reason, Twitch is steadfastly holding on to it. God help us all.
