The Police Detective (Played by - Charles) Sean was Dwane's contact on the Huntington Police Department. In the spring of 2004, he passed his Departmental review with flying colors and became a Detective. Sean is the childhood friend of MUPD officer, Chris Owens. Sean has been aware for a long time that very odd things were happening in and around town, and before becoming a Detective he decided to start doing a little investigating on the side. Sean has been very careful, because he realizes that he may be poking his nose into areas where he's not wanted. For months, he didn't believe in the existence of the supernatural, but was very aware that a lot of the crimes and weird occurences defy conventional descriptions. He found this highly disturbing because it ran contrary to his ingrained logical, rational approach. Clearly, he was overdue for a radical change in his worldview, a change that could either forge him into a champion, or leave him a broken shell of a man. His investigations eventually led him to Natalie, who seemed to be a crux-point for the strangeness, and she always seemed to be on the edge of many of these events. When he was finally thrust into the middle of it all, it briefly proved to be too much to handle, and a shocked, numb Sean ended up taking too many painkillers after drinking a large quantity of whiskey, and it nearly killed him. If it hadn't been for the intervention of Chris Owens, that error would likely have been Sean's last. After his recovery, Sean became a useful - though somewhat overzealous - ally in the group's efforts against the Order of Aurelius, and was in the thick of things when the Order made its final push, both in Huntington AND in Bavaria. Some days later, after the smoke had settled, Sean was called into his Captain's office, and there he was introduced to the Initiative agent, Graham Miller. Together, the pair of them made Sean an intriguing offer to head up a special taskforce within the HPD dedicated to solving supernatural crimes, while keeping such things out of the public eye. He accepted this offer on the condition that Chris would be hired on as his right-hand man within the taskforce, a condition that was quickly met. With a renewed sense of purpose, Sean has come full-circle, and works closely with Natalie and David when circumstances warrant.
The wear-and-tear of being a police officer has added up over the years, and as such, Sean has a mild addiction to painkillers.
