The Warlock (Played by - Tom) Read Ramone's Online Journal. Ramone started his life as a happy child, born to loving, attentive parents. He was a bright, inquisitive child, who led a normal life for his first nine-odd years. That's when a terrible accident damaged the visual cortex of his brain, and caused his complete, and permanent, blindness. Despite the best efforts of his parents, Ramone's adjustment to his sightless world was a very difficult and agonizing one. However, as time drew on, Ramone started to feel the flicker a new sensation which allowed him to sense certain objects around him. He later found that he could not only sense their relative size and shape, but also pull smaller ones, like pencils and books, to himself with his willpower alone. He reveled in his newfound ability, and was quick to utilize it whenever he was alone. Unfortunately, it seems, this newfound power carried with it an additional price. Soon, the nightmares began. He would find his mind flooded with the images of the "Accident" that had viciously robbed him of his sight, and also the ghastly visage of an evil, cackling, sadistic woman. Try as he might, he could not banish these haunting images from his mind, and this nameless woman continued to torment him. Eventually, she did more than laugh at his misfortune... she grew aggressive, and would torture Ramone with visions and sensations of a vicious beating. Fianally, after one particularly harrowing and drawn-out nightmare, Ramone suddenly lashed out with his mind at the image of this woman, temporarily forcing her retreat. He then came to realize he was not so helpless as she had caused him to feel. As a result, Ramone became facinated with research into dreams and the workings of the subconcious mind. This eventually led him to study not only the psychology of dreams, but the occult, and metaphysics. Slowly, he began to build a small library of occult volumes in braille, and what volumes he could not find in braille, he would translate himself. However, the visions had a second, totally unwelcome result. Ramone found himself becoming increasingly distrustful and suspicious of women, a development from which even his own mother was not immune. He began to feel as if he might be gay, but had doubts about that as well. Was he truly attracted to men, or was he merely so fearful of women that he was turning towards males? He tried to put his fears aside as best he could as he enrolled at Marshall University. And then he met Mitran, and was taken with his Romanian accent and sense of confidence. And later that same night, he heard the conversation that gave him cause to realize that he wasn't alone... that indeed there were strange forces at work within the world, that most people refused to accept or speak about. Hearing talk of demons, vampires, and gateways to hell as if such things were real might cause most people to worry about the sanity of those mentioning such things, but to Ramone, it was a revelation. And what's more, perhaps an answer, a solution to the visions and doubts that dogged him. So now he watches, he waits, he practices, and he works on gaining the trust of his new associates. For with trust comes opportunity... with opportunity comes knowledge... And with knowledge, comes power.
Ramone is a man, that from all outward appearances, who looks to be the very picture of calm. To those around him he seems unremarkable, despite his blindness, often stoic and almost unflappable. However, this external image is a carefully constructed fallacy. In truth, Ramone is a very tortured individual. He remains quite bitter about his blindness, and remains haunted by the ghostly image of the unknown woman who psychically tortured him for so long. While he eventually beat her back, her face remains prominent in Ramone's mind, and he fears her return. Plus, he continually struggles with his increasing distrust of women. Now Ramone is using much of his spare time to study magic and the occult in order to better defend himself, and to discover the identity of his mysterious attacker. Thanks to his rather focused studies, his magical abilities are increasing at a rapid pace. Unfortunately, his instability could soon make him a danger to enemies AND allies alike.
